Spring is now officially here although the weather may not entirely comply, the ice on our bay is at least 24 inches thick and the ice fishing is incredible. I snagged a 15LB ice cube the other day (just kidding). We have had more snow and colder temperatures this year than any in recent memory, so there has been lots of snowshoeing and cross country skiing, it has been fantastic.
The tour schedule for 2008 is now complete and posted. I am looking forward to a the dates in West Point, Boston and Cleveland, I am still working out the details on a few more Summer dates and they should be completed and posted within the next few weeks.
I had the pleasure of performing on March 17th at the Gainey Foundation Fundraiser at the Showplace Theatre in Peterborough Ontario, the event organizer Ed Arnold (Peterborough Examiner) had hoped to raise $60,000.00, at the conclusion of the event that number had more than doubled to $120,000.00 plus, for information on the event and the Gainey Foundation please go to www.gaineyfoundation.com
The performances with Ronan Tynan in Concord NH and Naples Florida were a huge success, I am looking forward to the opportunity of working with Ronan again in the coming months.
I am in the process of planning a live recording this Summer in New York City at one of that City’s Landmarks, details of the time and place to follow.
I am looking forward to the coming year and I wish you all a very safe and enjoyable Spring and Summer.
John.
